FBox Records is a London based label formed early in 2005 and run by Katie English (recording under the name Isnaj Dui). Focussing primarily on electroacoustic music, FBox makes a move against the inorganic qualities of purely laptop based music, preferring to embrace a more natural side of electronica. Regulars on the East London underground live electronica scene and beyond, FBox have provoked much interest from electroacoustic devotees across the UK for their unique take on live electronic performance. Recent work with London shoegaze band Disco Machine Gun has bought a live band element to the label's work and the list of FBox collaborations continues to grow in 2007 with projects including impromtu jam sessions and an album between storyteller Guy J. Jackson and Isnaj Dui.
The visual element of FBox is as important as the music, with James English providing beautifully fitting designs for each release, often with custom made sleeves. Future releases are to include a CD / DVD box set combining films and specially commissioned music from FBox artists.
Catoctin from 2006's Sequence EP was included on the Wire Tapper 15 in June 2006 and FBox have forged close links with various electronica labels including Smallfish and Disco_r.dance. Amacrine by Isnaj Dui was released on Smallfish in June 2007 to great reception.
The three current releases are available to buy through this site as well as www.smallfish.co.uk
